Absolute Bliss.

Yup. That's me. So happy in that one moment. Captured by my amazing photographer/childhood friend Miss C.  (She has even had her own photos displayed around places in Austin!) The photo depicts how I am feeling right now. I literally can't stop smiling, why? I have NO idea. Perhaps that it is Friday and the sun is shining. It's the little things with me, it really is. Oh yeah, I live in California. Pinch me PLEASE.

 Oh wait, I know, this time next month I will be island hopping through out the great barrier reef (one for the bucket list!) with my best friend. Duh.

Big Deal // Swoon

The boy/girl duo that is Kacey Underwood and Alice Costelloe of the band Big Deal brims with potential. With the acoustic guitar, fuzzy chords and harmonies of their vocals this band hits high notes with intimate topics such as relationships and angst. Each song of the album, Lights Out, is deeply personal and achingly beautiful. You can listen to the entire album whole and it just flows. My favorites are Swoon and With the World at your Feet. They have a Mazzy Star feel to them which I really enjoy.

I absolutely love this song. I have been playing it on repeat all day at work. I was introduced to Mat via Jill one of my roomies in college and have loved him ever since. I hope I can see him in concert one day. He has that "feel good true love is real" type of music. It immediately brings me up.

 Think of him as a happier David Grey.
